On disassembling the generator of my 1803, it's clear that something - possibly a broken magnet, since one is entirely missing - jammed the rear rotor plate of the generator when the turbine was running fast. The aluminium spacer plate is torn and folded, and about a third of it has been displaced. The stator is also damaged, with small parts of the plastic coating abraded away and abrasion visible on the copper coils. There is no visible damage to the front rotor plate but given the damage to the rest of the generator
