My Name Is Lina Abdel Aziz…

This Is My Testimony from Gaza 💔🕊️

My name is Lina Abdel Aziz. I am 31 years old.

This is not just a story I am telling… it is a life I am still forced to live every single day. 💔

Before the war, I was a law student. I had only one semester left before graduation. I believed that justice was not only something I studied, but a value that could change lives. I dreamed of wearing my graduation gown, beginning my career, and raising my children in a safe home where they could grow up knowing peace, not fear. 🎓🤍

But in a single moment, everything collapsed.

My studies stopped. My home was destroyed. My husband Mahmoud lost his source of income. The life we spent years building disappeared, and we became a family fighting every day just to survive. 🏚️💔

Our question is no longer: “What will we do tomorrow?”

Our question has become: “Will we survive until tomorrow?”

Every day, we search for bread, clean water, medicine, and a place where our children can feel safe. Survival has become the only task we know. 💔🕯️

I will never forget the day I was told that my husband Mahmoud had been killed.

In those moments, my entire world collapsed. I imagined telling my children that their father would never return. I felt a pain that no words can carry. 💔

Then, the next day, I learned he was still alive…

But he was severely injured.

The nightmare did not end. It only changed its form.

I now watch the man who once carried our family through life struggle with pain every day, needing treatment we cannot afford or easily access. I stand between my fear for his health and my fear for our children’s future. 🕊️

And this was not our only loss.

We lost relatives and friends. Names that once filled our family gatherings became names we mourn. In Gaza, grief has become part of daily life, and saying goodbye has become a reality no family should ever have to endure. 🖤

But the deepest pain is what happened to our children.

Their childhood was taken away before my eyes. 💔

They no longer know what safety feels like.

They do not fall asleep peacefully. They wake up to fear, uncertainty, and the sounds of war. Their hands should hold toys and schoolbooks, not carry memories of suffering. 🧸📚💔

They watched their father suffer.

They watched their grandmother struggle with illness without receiving the care she desperately needs.

They witnessed hunger, displacement, and fear before they even had the chance to understand their dreams. 😢

What memories will these children carry when they grow up?

What will they believe about the world after everything they have seen?

I lost more than a home.

I lost the feeling that life could ever be normal.

I lost safety.

I lost the ability to promise my children that tomorrow will be better, because I no longer know what tomorrow will bring. 🕯️

And yet, I continue.

Not because I am not exhausted.

But because my children need a mother who keeps standing, even when she is breaking inside. 🤍

Every morning, I hide my fear, smile for my children, and try to give them a sense of safety while I have nothing but faith and hope to hold onto. 🙏

My story is not only the story of my family.

It is the testimony of thousands of families in Gaza.

Families who lost their homes, their loved ones, their work, and their futures, yet continue to hold onto life. 🕊️

My message to the world is not a request for pity.

It is a request to see us as human beings.

We are not numbers in the news.

We are not images that disappear after a few seconds.

We are people.

We have names, faces, memories, dreams, and children who deserve the same safety and future as every child around the world. 🌍🤍

If there is still a place for compassion in this world, please do not let our suffering become something normal.

Do not let repeated images of pain make you forget the humans behind them.

Share our story.

Raise your voice.

Support my family if you can.

Because what may seem like a small act to you could mean the difference between hope and despair for us. 🙏💔

If I could ask the world's leaders one question, it would be:

How many more families must be destroyed? How many more children must grow up surrounded by fear, hunger, and loss before saving human lives becomes a responsibility that cannot be delayed? 🕊️

I still dream…

I dream of my children returning to school.

I dream of Mahmoud receiving the treatment he needs and regaining his health.

I dream of his mother receiving the medical care she deserves.

I dream of rebuilding a home where my family can finally feel safe again.

I dream that the children of Gaza will one day know life, not just survival. 🌱🤍

This is my testimony.

The testimony of a woman who did not only lose a home…

but lost the life she once knew.

Please remember:

Behind every story from Gaza is a mother trying to protect her children, a child trying to survive, and a family waiting for the world to see them with humanity. 💔🕊️
